Debunking breaking the seal
You may have heard the phrase ‘breaking the seal’, especially when it comes to drinking alcohol. This saying suggests that your first trip to the bathroom after a few drinks opens the floodgates, and there’s no turning back.
Interestingly, this idea might just be a myth. However, if you’re convinced that ‘breaking the seal’ leads to more frequent trips to the bathroom, it might linger in your mind and actually increase your urge to go.
Alcohol is also a diuretic, prompting more frequent trips to the bathroom. Remember that resisting the urge to use the bathroom isn’t a good idea. Being a repeat offender of holding in your urine can elevate your risk of developing a urinary tract infection (UTI).
