1. Why did you choose to study pharmacy?

A career in pharmacy is such a rewarding pathway with so many opportunities, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to give something back to their community and improve the lives of so many people.

2. What motivated you to pursue a career in pharmacy?

I have always loved chemistry and felt very strongly about helping others and giving back to the community. Studying pharmacy allows me to have the best of both worlds as it is very academically demanding while also giving me a chance to see the direct impact I have on peoples lives every day.

3. How do you find working and studying at the same time?

Balancing full time university with a part-time role definitely keeps me busy, however I am so grateful to be working within the profession I am studying. Being able to spend time learning and talking with the Alive pharmacists, I am able to constantly develop both my knowledge and practical skillset, which I can directly apply to my studies. Alive has always given me so much support and flexibility throughout my studies. They are always very considerate when it comes to exam time and understand that studying is a priority.

 4. What have you gained from your experience working at Alive?

Working with Alive has boosted my confidence and communication skills. The day-to-day interactions with our patients and between co-workers has taught me so many lessons I will continue to use in my future practice.

 5. Do you have any fun stories or memories since working at Alive?

Without a doubt! I have made so many incredible memories and friends with my co-workers, both inside and out of the workplace. Some of my favourite memories have been travelling with the Alive team to attend the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference. It was a wonderful experience with great opportunities for clinical and product knowledge, networking with other students from different universities, and a lot of fun!
