Melrose Vitamin C + Bioflavanoids contains a balanced blend of vitamin C, plus antioxidants to reduce the severity and duration of the common cold and seasonal allergies. Vitamin C provides antioxidant support to strengthen the immune system. Hesperidin, an antioxidant, helps to regulate the histamine response to allergic reactions. Hesperidin is also an anti-inflammatory, helping to reduce symptoms of hayfever including, watery, itchy eyes and runny nose. Rutin acts very similarly to hesperidin, as it has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and antiviral properties. Though it also exhibits strong antioxidant effects, where rutin may bind to and eliminate toxic pathogens, boosting our immune health.
