Normacol Plus 500g

Adults: 1-2 heaped teaspoonfuls once or twice daily after meals. Children (6-12 yrs old) One half of the adult amount. The granules should be placed dry on the tongue (in small quantities if necessary) and without chewing or crushing, swallowed immediately with plenty of liquid (water or cool drink). Children may prefer to take the granules mixed with Jam, honey or ice cream.

Sucrose coated granules containing Sterculia 62% and Frangula bark poweder 8% (purified talc, sodium bicarbonate, hard parrafin, peppermint flavour (Arome Peppermint Extra H 9979), erythrosine, indigo carmine, sunset yellow FCF.

Contains sugar. Do not take if pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not take immediately before going to bed or lying down. Drink plenty of water and increase fibre, except in cases of medication-induced constipation. Prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may lead to dependence. Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting is present. High fibre products may interact with other medicines by altering their absorption. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if taking other medicines. If you do not have a bowel movement after taking the granules for 4 days, you should stop the treatment and seek medical attention.
